Behind the Mask

It's impossible for me to show

How much you mean to me.

Will you ever really know

That without you, I cease to be?

Behind the mask,

There's nothing but fear.

I have to ask,

Will you wash away my tears?

When I look in your eyes,

I see strength and love;

And it makes me realize,

My heart was given me from above.

Not a day goes by

That you're not on my mind.

And maybe, if you try,

You just might find,

After all this time,

My heart is still yours.
